Washington, D.C. – May 11, 2017 – Ari Schwartz, Coordinator of the Coalition for Cybersecurity Policy and Law and Former Special Assistant to the President for Cybersecurity to President Obama, issued the following reaction to the Executive Order on cybersecurity signed today by President Donald J. Trump:
“The Coalition for Cybersecurity Policy and Law applauds the Executive Order signed today. It will move the federal government further down the important path of real cybersecurity risk management. The Order takes advantage of the significant public-private partnerships that already exist between industry and the government. This approach will ultimately lead to greater security at government agencies and companies alike.”
